FIT-AGAIN Kevin Brown yesterday reported for Giants pre-season training and announced: “I’ve never been this excited!”

The 23-year-old stand-off missed out on the chance of playing for Great Britain this autumn in order to treat a number of niggly injuries.

That has proved a complete success, and he checked back in for training feeling 100% fit and excited about renewing a half-back partnership with former Wigan teammate Luke Robinson.

“I’ve always been great mates with Luke, and we can’t wait to get cracking,” said Brown.

“I feel in really good shape after having a good rest this autumn and I’m looking forward to doing what I can to help us build on last season’s achievements.

“Reaching the play-offs for the first time was fantastic, and we know we can do it again.

“A lot of that success will depend on how Luke and myself gel, and that process will get under way straight away.

“But the fact we know each other so well and we’ve played together before is bound to help.

“That challenge is very exciting, and I think this is the most excited I’ve been at the start of pre-season training.

“We’ve got a great squad that I know can go on to even bigger and better things.”
