Catalans Dragons centre Ben Pomeroy will miss his side’s Super 8s clash against the Giants at the John Smith’s Stadium on Friday through suspension.
The Australian has been handed a one-match ban after being found guilty of a reckless strike with the shoulder on centre Josh Jones during his side’s 26-16 win over St Helens in Perpignan on Saturday.
Pomeroy, who was sent off for the tackle, pleaded not guilty to the grade B offence when he appeared in front of a Rugby Football League disciplinary tribunal. He was fined £300 in addition to the ban.
