The Giants Academy Under 19s have a new venue for their home clash against the North East.

Head coach Chris Thorman’s side will now be in action at the DRAM Centre on Sunday (3pm) instead of the YMCA’s Laund Hill ground.

Moldgreen ARLFC’s DRAM base has been used by the Giants as an Academy venue in the past, with Huddersfield’s experience expected to give them the advantage against their development opponents this weekend.

As a result, Thorman is looking at giving some of the younger members of the Giants Academy set-up the chance to show the coaching staff exactly what they can do.

Giants Under 19s: Jared Simpson, Darnell McIntosh, Will Gledhill, Zack McComb, Sam Moore, Jordan Brown, Izaac Farrell, Tyler Dickinson, Kruise Leeming, Elliot Morris, Will Carlos, Liam Johnson, Mikey Wood, Sam Wood, Matthew English, Billy Hayes, Harry Woollard, Connor Redgwick, Jack Etchells, Harry Redfearn, Isaac Noi, Keiron Reilly, Jamie Stringer, Brad Burgess.

It’s also a busy day on the amateur RL front this weekend, with a number of Pennine League fixtures taking place tomorrow.

Underbank Rangers will be looking to celebrate reaching the Holliday Cup final by maintaining their Second Division title challenge at Wibsey Warriors, while Meltham All Blacks will also look to stay on course to be crowned Division VI West champions with a home win over Boothtown Terriers A.

In Championship I, St Joseph’s host Batley Boys and Newsome Panthers travel to Brotherton Bulldogs.
