Vastly-experienced Chris Bailey knows the Huddersfield Giants have what it takes to start picking up wins as quickly as possible.

Huddersfield have opened their Super League XX campaign with defeats to Hull FC and Wigan, but such was the improvement from the 19-0 home defeat to Hull in round one and the 24-16 defeat at the Warriors in round two, that Bailey knows the Giants are heading in the right direction.

And he doesn’t think it would be a shock if they break their 2015 duck against Leeds Rhinos at Headingley on Thursday night.

“Everyone talks about the need to get off to a strong start, but it’s still early days and we know it’ll take very little to turn things around,” said the 32-year-old loose-forward.

“We are confident in our ability and know that when we start to click we’ll prove a very tough team to beat.

“It’s simple errors that have been costing us, and that’s something that should be pretty easy to address.

“We were also a lot more committed to each other in the Wigan game than we were against Hull the week before, and that’s something else we’ll keep working on.”
