Huddersfield Giants head coach Paul Anderson has restored Chris Bailey to the Huddersfield squad for the away trip to Warrington Wolves tomorrow night.

Bailey was a late absentee for last weekend’s 44-14 win at Wakefield due to a family issue and replaces Jake Connor.

Anderson is looking forward to testing his side against a Warrington team two points and one place above them in the Super League table.

“In a lot of ways it is good to be coming off the win in the Wakefield game and the short turnaround to the Warrington game,” said Anderson.

“It means that we have to keep things in a sharp focus and we are all really looking forward to it.”

Warrington Wolves chief Tony Smith and first team coach Richard Agar have been battling against the odds this term.

When it was revealed Ben Evans is set to spend four months on the sidelines after rupturing a hamstring against St Helens last week, it added another name to a growing list of absentees.

Evans’ twin Rhys recently needed three operations on a shoulder injury, and is set to spend a similar amount of time on the sidelines as his brother.

They have joined Simon Grix, the brother of Giants’ Scott, who broke his leg last season on the list of long-term casualties.

Richie Myler was also left out of the 19-man squad for the game, but skipper Joel Monaghan returns and the Wolves include Huddersfield-born George King – a Meltham All Blacks product.

Aaron Murphy has been voted the Huddersfield Giants player of the month for February.

The 26-year-old received 55 per cent of the votes from Giants supporters for his performances through February, during which he played in all three games, once at full-back and twice on the wing.

Murphy scored a try in the Giants’ defeat against Wigan, and was the man-of-the-match in the first two games of the season against Hull FC and the Warriors.

Jake Connor and Jamie Ellis were joint second, with both claiming 11 percent of the votes for the award run in association with Barclays.
