ANGRY Huddersfield Giants coach Jon Sharp is demanding an immediate response from his players in the wake of their Super League horror show at basement club Castleford.
The sixth-placed Giants' play-off bid has once again been called into question after the shock 24-20 defeat.
That handed Castleford only their second win in 19 top-flight starts, and left Sharp fuming.
"What happened in the second half was unacceptable," said the coach, whose side had led 16-6 at the break.
"I was delighted with the way they approached the first half, but they obviously forgot to come back out for the second.
"From being in almost complete control, we let Castleford come back at us and in the end I have to admit they out-performed us.
"Our decision-making and execution went totally to pot."
Huddersfield are now just two points ahead of Wakefield, who beat Warrington 32-26.
Warrington visit the McAlpine on Saturday (6.00), and Sharp must make sure there is a quick improvement.
"Every game at this stage of the season has meaning, and for us, that meaning is in keeping our play-off bid alive. We can't afford a repeat of yesterday."
