FORMER St Helens star Heath Cruckshank is standing by to make his Giants debut as the Northern Ford Premiership leaders look to attract their biggest McAlpine crowd of the season against Oldham on Sunday (3.00).

First-choice scrum half Mark Moxon is also back to boost the Giants after receiving the all-clear to play again following a fractured eye socket suffered in the 66-0 New Year's Day triumph over Keighley Cougars.

That match attracted the Giants' best crowd of the season of 3,049.

But with Huddersfield now riding high at the top of the table and playing an attractive brand of rugby, that figure should be smashed.

With Paul March (ankle) and Rob Roberts (back) fit again after missing the win at Swinton, Huddersfield are ready to fire on all cylinders.

It is also obvious that the timing of the returns couldn't be better.

With a pressure-cooker month ahead and crunch clashes against title-rivals Oldham, Hull KR, Rochdale and Leigh looming, the Giants need to be in top shape.

Everything suggests that this will be the case.

"This month every game is make or break," enthused Giants chief executive Ralph Rimmer.

"We need to get off to the best possible start this weekend with a top performance against Oldham.

"And with the arrival of Heath Cruckshank and the return after injury of Mark Moxon, Paul March and Rob Roberts I am confident this will be the case.

"I am also confident that we will attract our best crowd of the season.

"Some of our earlier games were perhaps perceived as being one-sided affairs.

"That won't be the case on Sunday or for the three games that follow in March.

"These are very exciting times and I'm sure that the fans will get right behind us at such a vital stage of our season.

"The fans have been absolutely magnficent this year, but we now need them more than ever.
