Danny Addy insists he is willing to continue to provide a utility option both up front, in the halves – or even out wide – for Bradford Bulls boss Francis Cummins.

The 23 year-old, who usually operates within the Bulls’ back-row, has featured in a host of different positions so far in 2014.

Scotland World Cup star Addy appeared at stand-off during the club’s previous two outings, playing a pivotal role in victories over Wakefield and London.

But with new-boy Liam Sutcliffe now onboard, having agreed a short-term loan switch from arch-rivals Leeds Rhinos last week, Addy knows he could revert to the forward pack for Sunday’s visit of Huddersfield Giants.

“I don’t mind where I play, as long as I am being picked and performing well for the head coach and the fans,” said Addy, who scored a try in last season’s 58-6 victory over this weekend’s opponents.

“My preferred role is in the pack, either at loose forward or in the back-row but, in all honesty, I feel comfortable at half-back, centre or even at hooker.

“Wherever Francis (Cummins) wants me to play I will give 100 per-cent for him and the team.

“And I am sure all the other lads will be giving nothing less than that against the Giants.”

Addy, who signed professional terms with the Bulls back in 2010, insists he and his colleagues must put together an improved display this afternoon in a bid to avenge last week’s loss at Hull FC.

Bradford have managed to gain four points from as many First Utility Super League games in 2014.

Francis Cummins’ men need one win to get back onto zero points, but Addy is adamant the Bulls must play to their full potential in order to grab a victory, on Sunday afternoon, over the 2013 League Leaders.

“The boys remain confident coming into what is going to be a big game against Huddersfield,” added the Pontefract-born talent, who being proudly sponsored by Lisa and Ian Harrison this year.

“We know, on our day, that we are as good as anyone in the league and opponents don’t really come much tougher than the Giants.

“They are a very good team. They are strong and well drilled but we know that if we do our own things right and play as well as we can do, we can match them.

“The result from last Friday has not disheartened us, though, if anything it has made us extra focused to produce a better performance today.

“We know we have a lot to improve on. We coughed up too much possession by dropping a lot of ball.

“We need to show the same attitude as we did in rounds two and three if we want to make the game difficult for Huddersfield.

“If we do that there is no reason why we cannot get a positive result.”
