Danny Brough can’t wait to return to action and help the Huddersfield Giants get back on the winning Super League track.

The inspirational Huddersfield captain missed last Friday’s 44-30 defeat at in-form Castleford Tigers with a jaw and ankle injury suffered during the shock 36-10 home defeat to Salford Red Devils the week before.

But the 31-year-old reigning Man of Steel is back for tomorrow’s home clash against Bradford (3.00), when victory would help the Giants remain in the leading Super League pack and confirm the Bulls relegation from the top flight at the same time.

And while Brough knows a win this weekend can’t be taken for granted, he’s confident the Giants have re-discovered the formula to bring them renewed Super League success – starting against the beleaguered Bulls.

“It was pretty obvious our problem against the Tigers was the amount of tries we conceded,” said Brough. “That was also the problem against Salford.

“But we’ve been working overtime in training making sure it’s something we’ve addressed, and we’re looking forward to seeing the results against Bradford this weekend.

“They may not have had as many wins as other Super League clubs this year, but they’re certainly working hard for each other and we know this fixture could be dangerous. They have a good squad and there is certainly no such thing as an easy fixture in Super League.

“So we have to make sure we are on our game and put things right, and I can’t wait to get back out there and do what I can for the team.”
