Eorl Crabtree has pencilled in next month’s trip to Leeds Rhinos for his Huddersfield Giants’ Super League XXI return.
The 33-year-old prop has undergone surgery to solve a troublesome groin injury and expects to be back to full fitness in the next three weeks.
If that’s the case he’ll be available for the trip to Headingley on Friday, March 4 – and he can’t wait!
“I’ve had the groin problem since around the middle of last season, but we’d been able to manage it pretty well until the start of this season,” said Crabtree.
“But I must have done some extra damage to it in the Catalans trial game and it got even worse for the Saints opener.
“I knew then something needed to be done and my surgeon told me an operation was the only solution.
“But I am looking back to being available for them Leeds game. Apart from the groin injury, my body feels really well at the moment.
“So, all being well, I’ll be able to get straight back into it at Headingley.”
