THOSE Giants fans expressing concern that massive new signing Michael De Vere has just undergone a knee reconstruction should take heart from James Evans.
Around this time last year Giants centre Evans suffered an even more serious injury at Canberra Raiders when he collided with a goalpost.
The damage it caused was far worse than that suffered by De Vere, who ruptured a ligament in his right knee in training.
But now Evans is absolutely flying and adding significantly to the Huddersfield cause as the club pushes towards a top six Super League play-off spot.
All of De Vere's medical staff are confidently predicting the Australian Test star will make a full recovery, with new teammate Evans providing all the evidence in the world to support that case.
