HUDDERSFIELD Giants' decision to revert to 3pm kick-offs is down to the fans.
Chairman Ken Davy admitted that it had become increasingly clear that the majority of supporters were in favour of scrapping the 5.30 start and moving back to the more traditional Sunday afternoon slot.
"We are reverting to 3pm at the request of the fans," revealed Davy.
"I hope the supporters will respond to the move and come out in greater numbers next season.
"I know you can never please everyone, and some will be disappointed that we've switched back.
"But all of the evidence suggests a 3pm kick-off is the most popular."
Davy has also revealed that from next season all away fans will be located behind the posts in the south stand.
Hull FC and Salford City Reds supporters occupied that spot for the last two games of the season, and the experiment's success has resulted in a more permanent switch.
"It seemed to be a move which went down well across the board," added Davy.
"The feedback received from our fans was positive, and the feedback from the visiting supporters was also highly encouraging.
"As a result, every group of away fans will be housed in the south stand next season.
"I hope it's another move that meets with our fans' approval."
* Plans are in place to make it easier for fans to buy tickets for Giants Super League games.
Season-tickets go on sale today at the Galpharm Stadium ticket office.
But it is hoped that in future they will be on sale from the club's new shop, which is shared with Town, in Cloth Hall Street.
The club have already made it clear that advance discounted matchday tickets will be on sale from the new club shop for the start of next season.
