YOUNG Giants Super League squad man Ben Feehan has been released by the club and could be about to sign for Halifax.

The 18-year-old centre has struggled to come to terms with the high demands expected of a full-time professional player.

He has spent the past month on loan at Featherstone Rovers, but has moved to The Shay on trial, with a view to making the move permanent.

"Ben was finding life really tough, because the demands expected of him have now becoming so high," explained Giants football manager Stuart Sheard.

"I'm sure that at this stage of his career a potential move to Halifax would do him good."
