PROUD Giants coach Jon Sharp will send his players away on a six-week break confident he can now build towards an even brighter Super League future.
Sharp watched his side round off their 2005 campaign with an exciting 28-22 triumph over Salford at the Galpharm.
The Giants were guaranteed seventh place - their highest ever - and came from behind to give departing trio Julian Bailey, Brandon Costin and Darren Fleary the perfect farewell present.
But Sharp believes the nature of the fightback proves he has a squad of players who have shown they are determined to do everything within their power to help Huddersfield's future cause.
"I've said all season that this is a side which will never give in," he said.
"Yesterday's match was just the latest example.
"They kept battling away and eventually came up with their reward.
"It shows how much they want to win for this club, and that's very important.
"It all bodes well for next year's Super League."
