FORMER Giants favourite Brad Drew is coming back to Britain.

Although this time, the highly-popular hooker (right) is aiming to do a bit of ‘Pommie Bashing!’

Huddersfield’s former Player of the Year is arriving on these shores as head coach of the Australian Institute of Sport, which is effectively his country’s Under 18s side.

And his appointment marks a rapid rise up the coaching ladder for one of the Giants’ most highly-respected performers during the Super League era.

In the final years of his time at Huddersfield, he helped coach the club’s Under 21s side and also took training sessions at Huddersfield YMCA rugby union club.

On returning to Australia two years ago, he held a coaching development post in the Penrith area of Sydney before taking over as AIS head coach earlier this year.

The young Kangaroos are currently in France, but will play England Students in Leeds on Sunday, December 2 before facing the British Community Lions at Hemel Hempstead five days later.
