Former Giants on-loan forward Jordan Cox has joined Halifax on dual registration in a bid to boost their hopes of reaching the Super 8 Qualifiers.

The 6ft 4in Cox made seven appearances for Hull KR after returning from a month’s loan at Huddersfield earlier this season but recently lost his place in Chris Chester’s team.

Halifax football director Ian Croad said: “We have been working closely with Chris Chester and, with injuries to key forwards and the loss of Jacob Fairbank back to Huddersfield, we needed strengthening in that department.

“We are delighted with Jordan as a squad addition. It’s important - following five victories on the bounce - that we do not become comfortable as we approach the business end of the season.

“The top four is wide open and I have every faith in our outstanding group of players to deliver the goods.”
