Former Huddersfield Giants prop Antonio Kaufusi has secured a return to the Australian NRL after signing a two-year contract with Canterbury Bulldogs.
Kaufusi, 29, who made 56 appearances for the Broncos from 2012-13, was released from the last year of his two-year contract with Huddersfield by mutual consent a month ago to enable him to return to Australia.
The Tonga-born forward, who played for Melbourne Storm, North Queensland Cowboys and Newcastle Knights before moving to Super League, said: “The NRL is the toughest game. It’s great to be back and to try test myself again.”
Canterbury coach Des Hasler said: “Antonio is an experienced player and he will add some depth to our forward pack for next season.”
