BRAD DREW admitted the quality of Australian players on the Giants books was a factor in his decision to sign for Huddersfield.

Joining up with James Evans, his close teammate at Canberra Raiders, was something he was delighted to do.

But he admitted it was the chance to team up with the other overseas recruits that appealed to him.

"I've alway got on great with James and I know he's enjoying it at Huddersfield," said Drew.

"But I've also got great respect for Ben Roarty and Chris Nero, because I've faced them in the last few seasons and they're top players.

"I didn't know much about Brandon Costin, but everyone at Canberra who knew him said he was a top bloke and great player.

"I'm looking foward to finding out."
