ALL reports coming out of Leigh after the Senior Academy clash against the Giants had Marcus Southwell making a comeback for Huddersfield and scoring a hat trick!
Unfortunately, it couldn't prevent the visitors suffering a disappointing 51-32 defeat - their first of the First Division campaign.
But, just as unfortunately for Southwell, it wasn't the prop who raced in for three fine tries.
Instead - and even more understandably - the hat trick was scored by in-form winger Marcus George!
And it appears the confusion all started as the Leigh tannoy announcer kept on calling George `Marcus Southwell' when he was scoring the tries.
Southwell's younger brother Jason was, however, on the scoresheet as a makeshift Giants side were beaten.
But Huddersfield should be stronger tomorrow night when they entertain Featherstone at Syngenta (7.30) - without Marcus Southwell!
