HUDDERSFIELD Giants are on the verge of securing a place in the Junior Academy Under 18s Championship.
Coach Chris Plume's side moved a step closer after their 39-26 win at Featherstone Rovers.
They must now wait for the result of the game between Hull KR and Bradford Bulls to confirm their place in the Championship competition.
But the Giants are hopeful the Bulls will achieve the win that Huddersfield require.
And with the quality of the players in the Giants' ranks, it would be a crying shame if they were not plying their trade in the top flight.
There were again many excellent touches from the visitors during the Post Office Road triumph.
Leading the way was Thomas Hemingway, who raced over for two tries and landed four goals and a drop goal.
There were also two touchdowns for flying winger Marcus George.
But the Giants didn't have it all their own way.
In a stuttering opening half, Huddersfield found themselves 20-14 behind, and it was only in the final quarter that victory was confirmed.
Other tryscorers for the Giants were Bolu Fagborun, Jason Southwell and Peter Robinson.
