GIANTS skipper Brett Hodgson admits it would be a dream come true to lift the Challenge Cup.

The 31-year-old has enjoyed a glittering rugby league career in his native Australia.

That has included State of Origin appearances and Australian NRL Grand Final glory with Wests Tigers.

But tomorrow he will lead out the Giants at Harlequins (3.00) for his first taste of action in the Challenge Cup, and he admits he can’t wait!

"Playing in something as prestigious as the Challenge Cup is one of the reasons I wanted to come over here," said the in-form full-back.

"There’s a tremendous amount of interest in the competition back in Australia, and I’ve always been one of those who got up in the middle of the night to watch the final.

"I always thought how fantastic it would be to play in such a game and what an incredible feeling it must be to lift the cup.

"For me to do that would be a dream come true.

"But I know we can’t afford to get too carried away just yet.

"We’ve got to beat Quins just to start with and we know that won’t be easy."
