JON SHARP flies to Australia with the Great Britain squad today determined to represent Huddersfield Giants with pride.

The Galpharm head coach and Lions assistant heads Down Under with Giants winger Martin Aspinwall, right, and the other Great Britain players not involved in Saturday's Super League Grand Final.

The aim of the seven-week trip is obviously to secure Tri-Nations glory for Great Britain against Australia and New Zealand.

Sharp knows it will be a tough task.

But he is determined to give it his best shot, not just for the Lions' cause, but also for that of the Giants.

"On that Great Britain flight tomorrow will be one Huddersfield player and one Huddersfield coach," said Sharp.

"I wonder when that last happened?

"I certainly don't, but I do know it's a sign of the progress the Giants are continuing to make.

"During our time in Australia, I believe both Martin and myself will be representing the Giants as well as Great Britain.

"It is our small way of further helping to put Huddersfield Giants on the map.

"Hopefully, we can do that by helping Great Britain bring back the Tri-Nations trophy.

"I know we are huge underdogs, but we will all be going out there giving it everything we've got."
