HUDDERSFIELD Giants are offering their youngest fans an extra special Christmas present.

The Super League club have announced they are to give away free season tickets to all primary school pupils.

It's a way of helping to make the Giants one of Super League's most successful family clubs.

And Giants marketing chief Jonathan Wilkinson believes this offer will prove a big hit.

"This is obviously a very expensive time of the year for many families," said Wilkinson.

"And I'm delighted to say the Giants are in a position to help ease that cost by offering this very special deal.

"We believe this is a great chance for families to treat their children to an extra Christmas present for free.

"But obviously the key for parents to take advantage is to get moving as quickly as possible.

"In order to pick up the tickets ahead of Christmas Day they need to contact the Giants office (530710) as quickly as possible."

The season ticket gives free admission to all Giants Super League matches, home and away, in 2005.

The price for a season ticket for secondary school pupils is just £30 and also allows admission to all 28 games.

"We're very keen to get as many young fans to our Super League matches as possible, and these deals are the ideal way," added Wilkinson.

"The south end of the Lawrence Batley lower tier has already been designated as our family stand.

"That's the area where there will be such things as face painting, children's entertainers and the chance to meet Giants players on matchdays.

"We want to see that section filled every game."
