THE Giants are aiming to make Sunday's home McAlpine Super League clash against London Broncos (5.30) a celebration of Huddersfield sport.

Top of the agenda is the bid to secure another two points to help maintain the top-six challenge.

But Sunday is also the chance for Huddersfield sports fans to celebrate Town's success in the Division III play-offs.

Part of the Giants' exciting matchday programme of events will be a parade of the play-off final trophy by top young Town stars David Mirfin and John McAliskey.

It's another indication of the close links between the two clubs, with Giants officials hoping Town fans turn out in force to cheer on their heroes.

"This Sunday is the first game back at the stadium since Town's Cardiff triumph and the Giants felt we should do something special to mark the occasion," said marketing officer Jonathan Wilkinson.

"The Giants were obviously delighted to see Town win, because it has helped restore more sporting pride in Huddersfield.

"Now it's the turn of the Giants to continue that process and we have high hopes the boys will put on a quality show and beat the Broncos this weekend.

"We also hope the Town fans take advantage of their discounted voucher for a Giants Super League match, which is at the back of their season-ticket book, and join us for what we are sure will be a fantastic occasion."
