HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS have confirmed they smashed through the 1,000 barrier for season-ticket sales for Super League XIV in week one.

That statistic has never been reached by the Galpharm-based club before, with fans quick to take advantage of the club’s offer to ‘Join the Giants Revolution’ in 2009 and snap up season tickets for as little as £80.

Club chairman Ken Davy’s historic announcement that the Giants would be slashing season-ticket prices has clearly proved popular, with both first-day sales and the total for the opening week far exceeding records from previous years.

And it’s a fact that has delighted club marketing manager James Brammer.

“Everyone at the club is thrilled the announcement about season-ticket prices has been met with such healthy opening week sales and we expect this to continue over the coming months,” he said.

“With the arrival of top-class personnel in (new head coach) Nathan Brown and (West Tigers captain and full-back) Brett Hodgson for 2009, there is a real feelgood factor around the club and this is reflected in the impressive sales to date.

“Our season-ticket prices for 2009 really do prove that we are bringing Super League to the people, and we are delighted that a high percentage of our initial sales are to new season-ticket holders who wish to join the Giants Revolution in 2009.”

Tickets can be purchased over the phone or in person from the Galpharm Stadium ticket office (0870 44 44 552). Application forms are on the back of the ‘Giants Revolution’ newspaper and can be posted to the Galpharm Stadium ticket office, Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield, HD1 6PG.

Alternatively, tickets can now be ordered online at www.giantsrl.com.

And the earlier fans purchase their season ticket the more times they will be entered into the weekly signed shirt draw.

Each week for 10 weeks supporters who have purchased will be entered into a draw to win a Giants signed shirt. The earlier season tickets are bought, the more chance fans have to have their name entered into the draw each week for up to 10 weeks until Friday, October 24.
