HUDDERSFIELD Giants stormed into the quarter-final of the Tetley's Challenge Cup with a stunning 24-8 triumph over Super League champions Leeds Rhinos at the John Smith's Stadium.

Despite the 61st-minute dismissal of centre Joe Wardle for punching, coach Paul Anderson's men were the dominant force from start to finish.

The day the last-eight draw will be made has yet to be confirmed by the BBC - it's expected to be towards the end of next week - but it's safe to say the other sides left in the competition will be keen to avoid the Giants, judging by today's form.

Huddersfield led 16-4 at half-time thanks to tries from Shaun Lunt, Joe Wardle and Leroy Cudjoe and two Danny Brough goals.

And after the break Brough doubled his goal tally and Cudjoe crossed for a second try with three minutes remaining to seal a superb victory over a Leeds side restricted to a try in each half from Kallum Watkins.
