Huddersfield back row forward Chris Bailey is back in contention for the Giants squad to face Warrington Wolves in Super League on Friday.

The 32-year-old Australian had been in the initial 19-strong Giants squad to face Wakefield in the last round, but was left out ahead of the 44-14 win at belle Vue.

“Chris had some family issues and that is not something we need to go into,” said head coach Paul Anderson.

“It was something he needed to sort out and he is fine and good to go for the Warrington game.”

Anderson is set to pick from strength as the fourth placed Giants take on third in the table Warrington with winger Jermiane McGillvary and skipper Danny Brough, who picked up knocks against the Wildcats given the all-clear.

“Everybody is fine and all a good for the game against Warrington,” said Anderson. “And it will be a good challenge, and probably the challenge we need right now to see how we go against a side like Warrington.”
