Fit-again Kyle Wood knows the bond between the Huddersfield Giants holds the key to a change in Super League XX fortunes.

Huddersfield head into tomorrow’s home clash against Widnes Vikings having lost their opening three 2015 top-flight fixtures.

Lively hooker Wood is expected to be in the Giants’ 19 after a strong tryscoring performance in last week’s 28-24 defeat at Leeds Rhinos.

It was his first Super League appearance since suffering a serious knee injury at home to Catalans Dragons last July.

And he’s 100% confident he’ll soon be back as part of a winning Giants side.

“We know how close we are to putting things right,” said Wood.

“Even though we were really disappointed to lose at Leeds, particularly as we conceded some soft tries, we were all encouraged by a lot of what we did.

“The things we need to fix up are only minor ones, and there’s no reason at all why that won’t be fixed up for the Widnes game.

“The bond within the squad remains as strong as ever, and by continuing to stick together and work hard for each other, we know we’ll soon be climbing up that table.”
