IN-FORM Michael Lawrence is hoping to have plenty to celebrate in tomorrow’s Super League clash against Castleford Tigers at the Giants’ temporary home of The Shay (5.45).

The 21-year-old England Knights centre believes he is in the best and most consistent form of his life.

And he is hoping to secure a seventh try of the season to make it 100 points for his hometown club and help the Giants secure a victory which would keep them joint top of Super League.

Lawrence is also the favourite to pick up Super League’s official Try of the Month for May for his stunning effort in the big home win over St Helens.

That will be revealed during Sky’s coverage of tomorrow’s Castleford clash, with Lawrence agreeing it would crown an excellent spell for the former Newsome Panthers junior.

“Everything is going really well right now, and I’m enjoying my rugby as much as I ever have,” said Lawrence.

“I feel my form has been consistent and we’re right up there in the Super League table.

“With a bit of luck, we’ll keep on improving and we can put in another decent performance against Cas to stay up there with the leaders.

“I’ve already scored a few tries this season and I know I’m close to reaching 100 points.

“Doing that tomorrow would be great, but only if we win!

“But with the ways things are going we’re feeling confident.”
