GIANTS coach Nathan Brown is demanding his players find a “Magic” response to Friday’s 32-12 defeat to Wigan Warriors.

Huddersfield are now two points behind Wigan after suffering successive League defeats for the first time this season.

After losing 27-20 at Catalan Dragons on May 5 and then to the League leaders, the Giants will be looking to get back on the winning track against Salford at Magic Weekend at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

“The players were disappointed after the Wigan loss, and that’s only right. You should be disappointed when you lose,” said Brown.

“But now the key is how you react to that disappointment. It’s a case of coming back into work, re-grouping and getting back to the form we’ve shown to get our many wins on the board this year.

“Although Wigan deserve a lot of credit for the way they played, we were nowhere near our best.

“We did have some people who put in great performances (David Fa’alogo and Greg Eden in particular), but collectively we didn’t have enough people who were good enough on the night.

“We’re all looking at those people who know they could have done better to put that right this weekend. It’s very important they do.”

Brown has already confirmed centre Joe Wardle will return to face the City Reds after it was decided not to risk him against the Warriors.
