STRUGGLING Giants coach Paul Anderson is confident he can handle the pressure of Huddersfield’s dire start to the Super League XXI

season and can plot a vital revival in fortunes.

Anderson’s mis-firing side remain rooted to the foot of the 2016 top-flight table after suffering their seventh defeat from eight starts

following yesterday’s 26-24 home loss to Salford Red Devils.

It was a game the Giants could have won had they shown more composure in attack.

And the head coach knows that’s going to be the key to an upturn in fortunes – and the only way of easing the current level of pain the club are experiencing.

“If I’m asked if I feel under any individual pressure at the moment, it’s a case that I’m always under pressure,” he said.

“The biggest pressure I feel is from within, because I want to win every game. Not doing that is something I’m not used to.

“I’ve never been a loser at any stage of my career, so what’s happening now is not sitting comfortably with me.

“In fact, it’s hurting me and it’s hurting everyone in regards to where we are right now.”

Added Anderson: “But if we can add some fluency to our attack, cut out the errors and back the effort we put in against Salford – which was the opposite to what we saw at Wakefield last Friday – we can start to put all this behind us, regardless of the pressure.

“It’s all about composure, and getting back our composure holds the key.”
