Paul Anderson is looking for payback this weekend.

Huddersfield head to Odsal on Sunday to face a Bradford Bulls side who completed a Super League double over last season’s table-toppers.

The Bulls secured a shock 43-18 defeat at the Giants early in the 2013 campaign and then thrashed an inexperienced Huddersfield side 58-6 in the last game of the regular season, a week after Anderson’s men had claimed the League Leaders’ Shield.

The Giants did gain one win over their West Yorkshire rivals in the mid-season Magic Weekend, storming to a 42-6 success at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.

But former Bulls prop Anderson admits those two defeats to Bradford were tough to take, and he wants to do something about it this weekend.

“I think we owe Bradford one,” declared Anderson.

“In my time in charge at the Giants, it’s 2-1 to Bradford, and I’m looking forward to making it 2-2 this weekend!

“They (the Bulls) took advantage of a poor start by us early in the season and then completed a League double in the two regular rounds when we fielded a bunch of kids.

“The saving grace was the win at Magic Weekend, and we’ll obviously be looking for something similar to that on Sunday.”
