The Huddersfield Giants will make a final decision over the weekend as to whether Leroy Cudjoe and Larne Patrick will feature over the busy Easter period.

Both players were put through a demanding contact and conditioning session yesterday to prove their fitness.

Explosive back-rowforward Patrick hasn’t played since he suffered a knee injury in the opening-day Super League triumph at champions Wigan Warriors, while England centre Cudjoe picked up an ankle knock in the home defeat to Warrington Wolves 13 days ago.

And Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson has confirmed that if the key duo emerge unscathed from their heavy work-out, they’ll join up with the full squad as they prepare for the Good Friday trip to Salford Red Devils.

“We’re very hopeful over Leroy and Larne,” said Anderson.

“Larne did a big contact session on Wednesday and it went well, with the knee he damaged at Wigan being given a really tough examination.

“Leroy was also involved in that session, and he’s in exactly the same boat.

“And that would represent a remarkable recovery.”
