Huddersfield Giants will begin their bid for Grand Final glory with an away trip to Wigan Warriors in the opening round of the Super 8s.

The Giants will play the opening match of the new second phase of Super League as they take on the Warriors at the DW Stadium on Thursday, August 6 (8pm) in a match that will be televised on Sky Sports.

The first Super 8s match to be played at the John Smith’s Stadium will be against Catalans Dragons on Friday, August 14, and in the third round of matches head coach Paul Anderson’s side will face the holders St Helens at Langtree Park on Thursday, August 20 – again on Sky with an 8pm kick-off.

The Giants then have consecutive home games in rounds four and five as they take on Castleford Tigers (Thursday, September 3, 8pm) in a televised clash, before a meeting with Warrington Wolves (Sunday, September 13, 3pm).

There is a trip to Hull FC in round six (Friday, September 18, 8pm) and they conclude the programme with a home date against Leeds Rhinos on Friday, September 25 (8pm).

The Grand Final itself is at Old Trafford on October 10.
