Huddersfield Giants followers will be waiting to see just how their Super 8s programme pans out when the First Utility Super League announce the second phase of this season’s fixtures tomorrow morning at 10:15.

The Giants confirmed their place in the top four with an unconvincing 34-24 home win over bottom-of-the-table Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and earned themselves four home games in the battle to win a place in the semi-finals ahead of the Grand Final – at Old Trafford on October 10.

Leeds Rhinos prize for finishing top at the end of the 23-match programme is home advantage against 2014 Grand Finalists St Helens and Wigan.

The teams carry forward points Super League accrued so far and the team finishing top at the end of 30 matches will receive the league leaders’ shield and go into a top-four play-off for Old Trafford.

The dates and order of the Super 8s fixtures will be finalised over the next 24 hours and revealed tomorrow at a press conference at UK Media City in Salford.
