Luke Robinson says the Huddersfield Giants can’t afford to worry about Salford’s vast array of stars when they have so many of their own problems to solve.

Huddersfield travel to face Dr Marwan Koukash’s Red Devils on Good Friday (6.00) desperate to end a run of four defeats on the trot. Vice-captain Robinson knows that’s going to be tough against a Salford side boasting the likes of Rangi Chase, Tim Smith, Gareth Hock, Harrison Hansen, Adrian Morley and Junior Sa’u.

But he believes all the Giants can do is focus on getting back to what they do best.

“Salford are a bit of an enigma. They’ve got all these stars, but you just don’t know what to expect from them,” said the former Salford player.

“But they got a decent result at Hull in the Cup the other week and they’ve got Rangi Chase back from injury. You know he’s always going to cause you problems.

“They’ve also got a decent pack and are littered with stars in the backs, so they’re bound to challenge us.

“Having said all that, we can’t afford to worry about what they’re going to throw at us when we’ve got so much of our own game we need to focus on.

“We know if we do play to our full potential we’re capable of beating anyone in the competition, so we know getting our own house in order has to be the key this week.”
