IN-FORM Huddersfield Giants full-back Greg Eden will take on former club Castleford tonight feeling he has a point to prove.

The 21-year-old has revelled since moving to Huddersfield on a two-year deal.

Eden has been at the heart of the Giants’ rise to the top of Super League, and victory over Cas at the Galpharm (8.00) would make it six from their opening seven games.

Having been restricted to just two appearances for Castleford last season, Eden is keen to show the Tigers what they’re missing.

“This is the game I’ve wanted to play in from the moment I got here,” said Eden, who turned down a new Castleford offer.

“But I have to admit that when the fixtures first came out, I didn’t even know if I’d be in the frame.

“I didn’t expect to play this many games so early in my Giants career. I’ve only missed one so far.

“I’d like to think that’s a sign of how much I’ve developed in the short time I’ve been here, and it’ll be good to prove that to everyone at Cas – although that’s obviously just one of the reasons why I want to play well.

“Everyone’s absolutely buzzing and it’s great to be top. That’ll make us even more determined to shine, especially as it’s in front of the Sky TV cameras.”
