IN-FORM Scott Grix is confident the Giants can bounce straight back from their defeat to Super League champions Wigan when they travel to Hull KR on Saturday (5.45).

Huddersfield lost top spot in the wake of their 20-6 home defeat to the Warriors last Friday night.

But full-back Grix (pictured), who was named his side’s man-of-the-match in the bruising Wigan encounter, has made it clear the Giants are determined to get back on track this weekend and remain in the leading Super League pack.

“Nathan (Brown) told us after the game on Friday that we don’t generally throw away the sort of chances we did against Wigan two weeks in a row,” said Grix.

“So we’re all looking forward to going to Hull KR on Saturday and putting things right.

“It’s always a tough place to visit and they were on the wrong end of a bad result at Salford last week, so we know they’ll come out firing.

“You’d probably rather face a team that’s coming off a win rather than a loss, so I’m sure they’ll be a dangerous proposition.

“They’ve added (former Australia Test forward) Willie Mason recently and that has obviously added a lot of interest and press attention.

“But it’s not something we’ll be giving much thought too, we’ll let them take care of that.

“For us, it’s a case of making sure everyone improves across the board, and if that’s the case then I’m sure we’ll put things right this week.

“It’s just a case of ripping into training and taking it from there.

“We feel we let ourselves down in our attack a little bit last Friday, just like we did at Harlequins a couple of weeks ago.

“The game is obviously about taking chances and although that improved against Bradford, I think we fell short again against Wigan.

“You know against a team of that quality you have to take the chances you create and we didn’t manage to do that.”
