NATHAN BROWN is confident his table-topping Giants will be even more formidable against Hull FC at the KC Stadium tomorrow (3.00).

Huddersfield moved two points clear at the top of the Super League XVII table with a 22-4 home triumph over the Black and Whites at the Galpharm Stadium on Easter Monday.

That means tomorrow’s eagerly-awaited Cup-tie will be the second time in six days the Giants and Hull will have gone head-to-head.

But even though Brown’s boys were full value for their Bank Holiday League triumph, the Galpharm chief knows his side must do better to book themselves in Monday’s fifth-round draw.

“Hull will be fresher, they’ll be feeling better and I’m sure they’ll be looking at doing things in key areas a little bit better than they did against us the other day,” said Brown.

“And that means we’ll need to be better tomorrow.

“We’ve obviously just played each other, so we both have a fair idea of what each side is going to do and what sort of things are coming.

“We’re not going to change anything in the way we play or the style of players we’ve got.

“It’s just been a case of working towards producing an even better performance this week, so we can give ourselves the best possible chance of getting as far as we can in the competition.”

Brown is ready to make a number of changes to the side that played so solidly on Easter Monday.

Coming back into this weekend’s 19-man squad are Lee Gilmour, Luke O’Donnell, David Faiumu, Shaun Lunt, Dale Ferguson and Luke George.

The unfortunate ones to miss out after featuring in the Super League win are Keith Mason, Jonny Molloy, Aaron Murphy and Tommy Lee, with the latter now ruled out for up to four months.

Hull FC chief Peter Gentle has been boosted by the return of centre Tony Martin and prop Sam Moa to his squad.

Martin missed both games over the Easter period with a neck injury, while Moa was given permission to return to Australia on compassionate grounds.

They are joined by youngsters Chris Green, Reece Lyne and Ben Crooks as part of five changes to Gentle’s 19-man squad in the face of a mounting injury list for the Black and Whites.

Kirk Yeaman (broken cheekbone), Richard Horne (groin), Martin Aspinwall (groin) and young prop Josh Bowden are the latest players to be ruled out of action, while Lee Radford will go back to his assistant coach role with Moa and Green returning to the squad.
