Upbeat Paul Anderson expects his Giants to be in great shape for Friday’s trip to St Helens.

Fourth-placed Huddersfield head to Langtree Park looking to secure a victory over Saints which would take them above the reigning Super League champions in the table with two matches of the regular season remaining.

The Giants maintained their place in the top four with a 32-14 home weekend win over Hull KR.

The victory also confirmed the Giants’ spot in this season’s Super 8s, as well as helping them continue to have the best current run in Super League with one defeat in their last 10 matches.

The Giants emerging unscathed from their win over the Robins and Anderson is confident his players will be ready for the Saints’ challenge.

“This is a challenge we’ll all be relishing,” said Anderson.

“Saints will be smarting after their loss at Leeds last week and Kez (head coach Keiron Cunningham) will have them fired-up.

“But there’s a lot at stake for us on Friday night, and the fact we’ll move above them with the win is added motivation.

“We’ve obviously got a short turnaround this week from the Sunday to the Friday, but we still expect to be in good shape when we go there.”
