PAUL ANDERSON knows there will be some tired and sore bodies at the end of this week.

But the Huddersfield Giants chief appreciates that’s simply down to all the hard work his Super League squad have been putting in.

Anderson’s men will complete their second full week of pre-season training today.

The former Great Britain prop admits the schedule has been punishing.

But he couldn’t praise the players more highly for the way they’ve knuckled down.

“It’s been tough, there’s no question about that,” he said.

“As a result, there are going to be some very sore and tired bodies, although that’s what we all knew would be the case.

“The players were told on day one that it wasn’t going to be easy, and they all readily accepted the challenge they were about to face.

“It’s fair to say there’s not one individual so far who has let anyone down.”

And Anderson was particularly impressed with the effort being produced by Jamie Cording.

“I usually don’t like to pick out individuals, because it’s all about the collective effort,” he added.

“But on this occasion, I think it’s only right to mention the work being produced by Jamie Cording.

“He’s one of the best trainers out there. He’s been outstanding.”
