HUDDERSFIELD Giants' Shuan Lunt won’t be switching his allegiance to Scotland – because he doesn’t qualify.

Giants teammate Danny Brough looks set to lead the Scots into this autumn’s World Cup after failing to break into national coach Steve McNamara’s England squad.

And that move has prompted many to suggest in-form hooker Lunt could follow suit after he, too, missed out on an England call.

Lunt’s brother, Rob, has played for Scotland in the past.

But the Huddersfield ace has explained why he won’t be able to do the same and be part of a Scotland World Cup squad that could feature fellow Giants Brough, Dale Ferguson and Joe Wardle, who have all played for the country before.

“It’s England or nothing for me,” revealed Lunt, who was in the England Knights squad last season after touring Australia and New Zealand with the full England squad in 2010.

“Rob was born in the Isle of Man, which means he qualifies to play for any of the Celtic countries.

“But I was born in Cumbria, so England is the only option for me.”
