Young Giants Super League duo Liam Johnson and Sam Wood will lead Huddersfield into Under 19s Academy action against Widnes Vikings at the DRAM Centre at 2pm today.
Back-row forward Johnson was last week starring on dual registration for Oldham at centre in the narrow 12-6 Kingstone Press Championship defeat at Halifax last Friday, while Wood has been a member of the Giants’ Super League 19 for several weeks.
But the talented youngsters will this weekend be looking to help the hosts secure a fifth win of the campaign in what is expected to be a keenly-contested mid-table tussle.
