JAMMER the Hammer may not be a Super League feature at the moment, but he is certainly having an influence on matters at the Giants.
Emerging England centre Michael Lawrence, for instance, has nothing but praise for 29-year-old former New Zealand international Jamahl Lolesi and the advice he is passing on to the younger players.
A new member of Steve McNamara’s Knights squad, Lawrence said: “I’m learning a lot from Jamahl.
“He is doing a lot of work as the outside backs coach and he was a great player throughout his career in the centres, where I like to play.
“I am trying to learn as much from Jammer as I can, all the time, and it was also great for my development previously when Paul Whatuira was here, because he passed on a lot of advice when I was coming through at 17 and 18 years of age.
“I just try to take on board everything the senior players are telling me and I’m keen to learn as much as I can, just like I will be with the Knights.”
