Danny Brough knows if the Huddersfield Giants stick together the Super League XXI wins will arrive.

Huddersfield find themselves rooted to the foot of the fledgling top-flight table with defeats in their opening four 2016 fixtures.

A crippling injury list has been at the heart of their early-season woes, with former Super League Man of Steel Brough only just back in the side after suffering a dead leg in the opening-round loss at St Helens.

But in the narrow defeats at home to Wigan and at champions Leeds Rhinos last Friday, when Brough was back pulling his side’s attacking strings, a strong collective effort so nearly brought its rewards.

And Brough knows a repeat performance in Sunday’s home clash against Hull KR will be the key to the Giants getting off the mark.

“We’ve always been a side that’s been prepared to work hard for each other,” said Brough.

“But on the rare occasions when we’ve not done that we’ve been made to suffer. That’s what happened at home to Widnes the other week.

“So the key is to make sure we continue to stick together.

“If we do that, both on and off the field, then we’ll turn things around pretty quickly. That’s our focus right now.”
