LONDON will be hoping to bounce back after a torrid start to Super League XVIII.

The Broncos were well beaten by last year’s wooden spooners Widnes 28-14 at home.

Last year was also a huge struggle as rookie Rob Powell was fired, with the club languishing bottom of the table with the Vikings.

That position came as a surprise after they spent big to bring in some stellar Antipodeon names.

Former Australian internationals Antonio Kaufusi and Craig Gower, 2011 NRL Grand Final winners Shane Rodney and Michael Robertson, as well as former Crusaders key man Michael Witt, were all added to the side as chairman David Hughes spent big in a bid to get London in the play-offs.

Those players still remain on their books and with emerging talents Kieron Dixon, Dan Sarginson and Jamie O’Callaghan breaking through, things should really be looking up for the club.

If their squad performs to its undoubted potential and hit their straps, they could catch Huddersfield cold this Sunday.

LONDON legend Tony Rea will be hoping to make London into a force again.

Rea was a player in the capital before Super League began and then later became the club’s chief executive, before taking over as head coach in 2000.

He later left the then Harlequins after being moved upstairs in 2008 and took up the coaching assistant role of the Brumbies Super Rugby Union club, later being appointed full-time boss, though he was fired after just two games.

With the Broncos languishing at the bottom of the league, Rea was convinced to re-join as boss on an interim basis and he will now be looking to secure their first Super League play-off berth since his departure.

TOP Australian Luke Dorn began to revive his reputation as one of the best attacking full-backs towards the end of last season.

The ex-Castleford and Salford star began his glittering career in England with the Broncos under fellow Aussie, Tony Rea.

And after scoring four tries in back-to-back games against the Tigers and Warrington, Dorn seems to be enjoying life back under his old boss, after former Broncos coach Rob Powell dropped him to the bench towards the end of his reign.
