Former Great Britain prop Paul Anderson is predicting big things for Anthony Mullally – if he prepares to work even harder on his game, writes Chris Roberts.

The 22-year-old front-row forward has been in top form for the Giants since returning from a six-game loan at Super League rivals Bradford Bulls.

The Ireland World Cup star has featured in the Giants last three top-flight encounters, helping his side secure home wins over Castleford and Wakefield and a win at Salford.

Mullally made a massive impact off the bench in Sunday’s thrilling 29-28 triumph over high-flying Castleford, and Anderson knows this could be a taste of things to come.

“Mull showed against Cas exactly why we brought him to the club,” said Anderson, who is expected to give the former Widnes Viking a fourth successive game at London Broncos on Saturday.

“He’s a big human being (6ft 5in tall and 17st 6lb) who runs hard and is obviously very difficult to stop. He’s also very strong and finds his front.

“There are clearly some parts of his game that he needs to work on, but there’s no doubt we have a big front-row forward on our hands who could have a big future ahead of him.

“The key is that we’ve just got to be patient with him.”
