HUDDERSFIELD Giants have been boosted by six players being called into the England development squads.

England Academy and Youth coach Dave Elliott has named his respective 24 and 31-man training squads for the 2013 season and the Giants have three players in each section.

Included in the 24-strong Academy squad are Elliott Morris, who played his junior rugby at Meltham All Blacks, Jake Connor, who joined the club from Calderdale outfit Siddal, and Jack Miller, who is a product of Castleford side Smawthorne Panthers.

The trio in the 31-strong Youth squad are Newsome Panthers product Liam Johnson, Frazer Morris, from St Josephs Sharks, and Will Gledhill, from Wakefield Westgate.

England coach Elliott said: “There are some very talented players in the Academy squad and also some experienced heads at that level with a lot of the squads having been involved during 2012.

“The Youth squad includes a lot of players who are coming into the international environment for the first time and that makes it a very exciting group for us to work with as we are challenged to ensure we make it as interesting for the players as we can.”
