New prop Craig Huby knows the Huddersfield Giants have the squad ready to climb the Super League XX table.

Huddersfield finally opened their 2015 top-flight account at the fourth time of asking with last Friday’s 24-12 home triumph over Widnes Vikings.

They’ll now look to make it two on the trot against Castleford Tigers at the John Smith’s Stadium tomorrow (8.00), with fit-again hooker Luke Robinson and prop Josh Johnson named in place of Shaun Lunt and Anthony Mullally.

And former Tigers front-row forward Huby fully expects his new club to go out and get the job done against a Castleford side boosted by last Friday’s 42-14 home win over Wigan.

“We’ve got a great team and great players who work hard for each other and are determined to keep on building,” said Huby, who arrived at the Giants after spending the past 11 years with hometown club Castleford.

“Obviously, the start we’ve made to the season hasn’t been great, but we were always confident it wouldn’t last.

“Even though we lost in the opening three rounds, I never doubted for one second that I’d made the right move. I’ve been in this sort of situation numerous times in my career before and know the key is remaining positive and patient and sticking together, which is exactly what we’ve done.

“I’m the first to admit that in the first round against Hull I was poor. I was just trying to get into the groove and see what the team’s all about.

“It’s okay doing all the training, but it’s a different kettle of fish when you’re out there on the field.

“But we’ve seen in the last few weeks how everything is starting to come together. I felt a lot more comfortable and a lot of the other boys are feeling more comfortable, too.

“Obviously, we’d have hoped to have got that first win before last Friday night, but we know we’re ready to build on it as quickly as possible.”
