LUKE ROBINSON is predicting good times ahead for the Giants’ chief playmakers – if the forwards continue to build on their St Helens’ heroics.

New half-back combination Robinson and Danny Brough were in inspirational form as Huddersfield opened their 2013 Super League campaign with last Saturday’s stunning 40-4 victory at Langtree Park.

The duo were able to capitalise on an explosive pack performance, with hooker Shaun Lunt and full-back Scott Grix also reaping the rewards.

Robinson feels that can continue in tomorrow’s opening home game against London Broncos (3.00) and prove the Saints’ win wasn’t a one-off.

“All this week, Baloo (coach Paul Anderson) has been drumming into us the need to keep building and building, and to make sure our next performance is better than our last,” said Robinson.

“That’s been the focus this week, and I know he won’t be happy if he doesn’t see an improvement against the Broncos. That’s the standard he’s setting.

“But I know we can keep getting better, especially if the pack lay the sort of foundation they did against a Saints side who were full of internationals. We’ve made no secret of the fact we’re going to play big and physical, and that’s the way we’ll be against the Broncos.

“As a half-back, I find that really exciting. I’ve played behind some beaten packs in the past and it’s not a pleasant experience at all.

“But I can’t see that being the case anymore. With the set of forwards we’ve now got, I’m sure me and Broughy are going to have some good times.”

Giants chief Anderson could be set to name an unchanged side tomorrow, although new signing Ukuma Ta’ai has been named in the 19-man squad after arriving in England on Tuesday.
